I grew up in Britain but was always trying to get away. A degree in International Relations led to a trip around the world, which set me up for a career in travel writing. For ten years I travelled from Cuba to Cologne, and almost everywhere in between, then I decamped to Switzerland and got to know my new home instead. I got to know it so well that I’ve written eight books about it, and also become Swiss. And I still love going somewhere new.
