The city of light, love and long lunches
Paris, France
Paris is always a good idea. Whenever and wherever you venture in Paris, you’ll rub shoulders with an icon – be it the colossal Arc de Triomphe (commissioned by Napoleon to celebrate his victory at the battle of Austerlitz), Notre Dame or the art treasures of the Louvre. But being in the capital of France is also about exploring different neighbourhoods, stopping for a coffee in a characterful cafe and eating a long late lunch in a traditional brasserie. We say oui.
Get an Eiffel at night
Ever since its creation in 1889, the Eiffel Tower has been synonymous with Paris. There’s never a bad time to head to the wrought-iron edifice but, if you want to swerve the queues, the best time to visit is at night. This is when around 20,000 lights are turned on, giving the iron marvel a golden glow.
A famous resting place
Paris is home to one of the world’s most fascinating cemeteries: Père Lachaise. On a private walking tour with Cosa around this city of the dead, you can take in the hauntingly beautiful burial sites of celebrated artists such as Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, Chopin and Oscar Wilde – and discover the stories that lie behind the tombs.
Visit the iceberg of art
Created by Canadian-American ‘starchitect’ Frank Gehry, this white-sailed structure (nicknamed ‘the iceberg’) houses blockbuster contemporary art exhibits. As such the Louis Vuitton Foundation is permanently busy, despite being in the 16th Arrondissement. We can organise a private after-hours tour with an art connoisseur to enrich your experience.
See the city from the Seine
If you’re looking to see Paris in a new light, a relaxing ride along the River Seine is the way to go. Cosa can arrange for you to board a private sunset cruise right through the city centre. You’ll pass landmarks like the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame while enjoying a bottle of delectable French champagne.
Essential Paris
The problem that many visitors to Paris have is how to cram everything in. The solution? Trust Cosa’s insider destination knowledge. Anyone can go to Paris, but arguably only a Cosa travel designer knows when is the most spectacular time to see the Eiffel Tower or which hotel suites offer arresting Paris views. We’ll also add just the right amount of downtime to your agenda so that you can enjoy your luxurious time in the French capital.
