Cosa inspirations for 2025
It’s time to discover seven amazing experiences around the world
Walking across the salt flats of Bolivia, driving along the coast of Australia, paddling through the wilderness of Canada. These are just three of our seven incredible experiences for 2025, all personally chosen by the Cosa team to give you some ideas for the year ahead. That’s why we call this annual selection our ‘inspirations’ because we’re sure they will fire up your desire to explore. Maybe one of them is already on your wish list? Perhaps all of them will be once you’ve read this? We hope so, and we look forward to taking you wherever you want to go.
Staying where the northern lights dance
Finland
Some moments in life are almost too magical to be real. Moments like this: I was outside my cabin at Octola Lodge in Lapland, the snow was pristine, the air was crisp and then, right on cue, the northern lights began to shimmer and swirl above me. It was the kind of beauty that leaves you breathless, like you’ve stepped into a dream. But that’s what Octola Lodge is – a place to experience the impossible, where nature and luxury blend seamlessly. Your own private wilderness in northern Finland.
Where events are experiences
Marrakech
Close your eyes and immerse yourself in the world around you. The raw heat of the sun, the rich aroma of spices, the absolute silence of the desert: this is Marrakech, or at least it’s Marrakech as experienced with a Cosa event. With us, this amazing city becomes the stage for your unforgettable event, be that private or corporate. From bespoke tours to a night under starry skies, we can arrange almost anything. And in Morocco that includes a sprinkling of magic.
Paddling through the wilderness
Canada
Imagine gliding through crystal waters so transparent you can see every detail of every starfish beneath your kayak. From the moment I dipped my paddle into the water, a deep sense of peace washed over me, and I knew I was in for something extraordinary. It was me, the kayak and more sea creatures than I ever imagined. British Columbia’s West Coast is remote, rugged and utterly captivating, a place where nature reigns supreme and humans are mere visitors.
Slow travel in the land of rice
Vietnam
Sometimes when travelling, you have a moment that makes the whole trip worthwhile. And very often, it happens when you least expect it. For me, it was while I was gazing out of a train window, watching the ever-changing landscape of Vietnam unfold before me. I was on board the Vietage train, immersed in the verdant countryside and totally captivated by the rice farmers in the padi fields. It was, in essence, a dream come true – yes, travel agents have wish lists too, and Vietnam has always been on mine.
From the city to the sea
Australia
Picture this: driving along the open road, deep blue sea to your left, favourite tracks playing, your soul rejoicing as you enjoy the Great Ocean Road. This is one of the world’s classic coastal drives, serving up splendid landscapes, cute wildlife, great food and wonderful beaches in equal measure. Not forgetting all that fresh sea air, and you’ll get plenty because you’ll have a convertible for this road trip. It’s the best way to both see and feel the power of the ocean that has shaped this impressive coastline.
The spectacle of flat white magic
Bolivia
It’s white but it’s not. It’s a mirror but it’s not. The one thing I was certain of is that it’s flat. Very flat. I was standing in one of nature’s greatest optical wonders, the Salar de Uyuni and it’s like nowhere else on earth. This vast expanse of salt stretches endlessly in every direction, so perfectly reflecting the sky that it feels like you’re walking on a mirror. I felt as if I had stepped into another realm, one where nature’s beauty knows no bounds. These salt flats are not just a destination, they are where luxury and nature come together to captivate your senses.
On the trail of truffles and wines
Piedmont
It’s early morning and the crisp autumn air fills my lungs as I venture into the quiet woods surrounding Alba, a region of Piedmont famed for its truffles. A local trifolao, a skilled truffle hunter, leads the way accompanied by his trusty dog. With each rustle of leaves as we walk between the trees, I feel a shiver of anticipation: the hunt is on. The truffle forests of Alba aren’t the only reason for gourmet lovers to visit Piedmont – there are also the rolling vineyards of Barolo and the royal streets of Turin, making it one of Italy’s gems.
Our annual Inspirations are so great, they get their own seal of approval. Wherever you see this compass logo on an article, it means that we’ve chosen it as one of our Inspirations. All seven Inspirations for 2025 appear on this special map.
